Handwritten letter from Union soldier and nurse Edward W. Curtis of Co. I, 88th Illinois Infantry Regiment, to his aunt about how nice it is to receive her letters, that the tone is almost maternal, that the hospital is being reduced in size, having to operate on a man's leg again and the medicine used to treat him, and getting new patients. Includes envelope.
