Handwritten letter from Union soldier and nurse Edward W. Curtis of Co. I, 88th Illinois Infantry Regiment, to his aunt about having a calm past week, but that his long time patient was discharged and he feels lonesome now. Then he mentions having a delirious patient who was the most difficult one he has had, and that he is sending a newspaper clipping and a ring. Includes envelope.
